[Spell][Mage] Living Bomb damage, in Classes for Mage.
Current Behavior (The current behavior of the reported function):
Living bomb is currently doing lower damage than it should, its also not refreshing properly (but i'll include the refreshing bug in an another report cause it seems to be affecting all mage dots)
Forgot to add: Mastery seems to be the issue, cause other modifiers are applied properly, well, can't really exclude the fire specialization modifier, but id say it's pretty unlike that thats whats wrong :D
Correct Behavior (The correct behavior of the reported function):
Living bombs base damage is 234.33, the spellpower coefficient is 0.258, its benefiting from Fire Specialization (1.25), Fire Power talent (1.03), Critical Mass talent (1.15), and fire mages Flashburn mastery which increases fire DoTs damage. Note that Critical Mass, Living Bomb glyph, and Mastery stack additively
Knowing that and assuming x = spell power, the calculation should be as following:
(234.33 + 0.258x) * 1.25 * 1.03 * (1.15 + Mastery) = damage of a single living bomb tick
Also if you choose to Glyph into Living Bomb it also stacks additively with mastery
(234.33 + 0.258x) * 1.25 * 1.03 * (1.15 + 1.03 + Mastery) = damage of a single living bomb tick with the Glyph of Living Bomb
Living bomb properly has a base duration of 12 seconds and a base number of ticks of 4, and is properly increasing the tick number when a character reaches a haste breakpoint.
How to reproduce the bug (How did this happen?):
Cast Living Bomb and notice that the damage is lower than it should be.
Comment #18, can find the actual calculation, it also suggests that for the Combustion Critical Mass and Living Bomb glyph are multiplied, instead of added.
Here is further proof from early xpac EJ, also mentions that Living Bomb glyph stacks additively.
Search comments of this report for more proof that Critical Mass and Mastery stack additively, proved with a video.
